The new Renault Duster 2026 has returned to the Indian SUV market with a completely modern design, stronger performance and a long list of premium features. Renault has positioned the new-generation Duster as a feature-packed SUV, combining a powerful turbo-petrol engine with advanced connectivity, driver-assistance technology and a practical cabin.

The SUV is available with the Turbo TCe 160 engine, which produces 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DCT with a wet clutch, giving buyers the option of choosing between traditional manual driving and the convenience of an automatic transmission.

For buyers looking for an automatic SUV, the engine can be paired with a 6-speed DCT gearbox with a wet clutch. Renault says the powertrain is designed to deliver smooth acceleration and responsive performance for both city and highway driving.

The Duster is also available with a 100 PS Turbo TCe 100 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. In addition, Renault has listed a strong-hybrid E-Tech 160 powertrain for the Duster, with its availability planned around Diwali 2026.

Full LED Headlamps and Bold SUV Design

The new Duster gets a more aggressive exterior design with a distinctive front grille, signature LED lighting and muscular SUV proportions.

Higher variants feature full LED headlamps, while the SUV also gets LED daytime running lights and a connected-style horizontal rear light bar. Renault claims a 212 mm ground clearance, along with a 26.9-degree approach angle and 34.7-degree departure angle.

The design is further enhanced by large alloy wheels, roof bars and rugged exterior detailing.

43.18 cm Ocean Alloy Wheels

The Duster’s Evolution and Adventure variants can be equipped with 43.18 cm (17-inch) Ocean alloy wheels, giving the SUV a stronger and more premium stance.

Higher versions move to larger 45.72 cm (18-inch) alloy wheels, including the Adventure black alloy wheels on the special edition.

Electric Panoramic Sunroof

One of the major premium features of the new Duster is its electric panoramic sunroof.

The SUV offers up to 518 litres of boot space up to the parcel shelf and 700 litres up to the roof, according to Renault. This makes the Duster suitable for family trips, luggage-heavy journeys and everyday usage.

OpenR Link 10.1-Inch Multimedia System

Technology is another major highlight of the new Duster.

The SUV gets a 25.65 cm (10.1-inch) openR link multimedia touchscreen on higher variants, with Google built-in. The system integrates Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play, bringing familiar Google services directly into the vehicle.

Google Maps can provide navigation and route guidance through the vehicle’s infotainment system, while Google Assistant enables voice-based interaction.

The system can also support smartphone connectivity, making the cabin feel more like a connected digital environment rather than a conventional car interior.

Connected Car Services With My Renault App

The Duster also offers connected car services through the My Renault app.

The dashboard can also feature carbon-finish detailing and distinctive yellow stitching on the Iconic Launch Edition, giving the cabin a more exclusive appearance.

17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Safety technology is another important area where Renault has significantly upgraded the Duster.

The new SUV is equipped with 17 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), depending on variant. Features include technologies such as adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, active emergency braking, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition. The Duster also offers a 360-degree around-view 3D camera on the Iconic variant.
